This 90-minute experience invites you to discover local murals while hearing the stories behind them—connecting you to the artists, their process, and the deeper meaning woven into Charlotte’s public art scene. We'll meetup at The Market at 7th Street's lobby before heading out on a walking mural tour, exploring iconic murals and street art, and explore Charlotte SHOUT! exhibits along the way. This walk will be led by Art Walks Charlotte, a local nonprofit that aims to connect Charlotteans to the murals, public art, and street art that bejewel the Queen City. We'll be joined along the way by Makayla Binter - YAMs board member, CLT is Creative team member, and local artist - who will offer a unique, artist-centered perspective throguhout the tour. After the walk, we'll keep the good vibes rolling with drink and bites at the locally owned small-businesses housed at The Market. In case of weather, we've got a backup rain date for April 19th, 11am-12:30pm Save your spot.
Know before you go:
Parking: The Market offers free, 2hour validated parking in the attached deck. Street parking is also available nearby, or you can ditch the car and take the light rail right to the 7th Street Station, located right on The Market's patio.
